Charming, boutique style Bed and Breakfast/Table d'hôtes, Chez Teresa is located next door to the famous historic abbey; final resting place of Eleanor of Aquitaine & Richard the Lionheart. Offering comfortable en suite accommodation with a large double and single bed, the option is there for our guests to enjoy delicious home cooked meals including cooked breakfasts and evening meals, served in our elegant dining room. Built in 1865, the B & B is full of objet d'art and treasures galore. Coffee, tea and biscuits are available along with wifi, a hairdryer, quality toiletries, magazines, books and on request a radio and/or DVD player. At the heart of the village of Fontevraud l'abbaye there are a range of useful shops including a chemist, a hair salon, a baker, and a post office. There are also artist's studios, a jeweler, a soap maker, a maker of biscuits, cordon bleu restaurants etc The jewel in the crown is the abbey, now an arts venue and a designated World Heritage Site. Nearby are places of extensive natural beauty, fabulous castles, museums, the Loire River, a golf course and an Olympian riding/cavalry school. Chez Teresa is surrounded by forests and vineyards.
