Mansefield House - Bed & Breakfast A warm welcome awaits you at Mansefield House in the Machars area of Dumfries and Galloway in south west Scotland. Linda and Chris White are delighted to offer bed and breakfast to families and friends in their former 19th century Scottish manse which they have recently restored to its former glory. Situated in the ancient royal burgh of Whithorn with pretty views of the Galloway hills, Mansefield House is a lovely place to spend a relaxing holiday. Historic Whithorn is very peaceful. It's safe and it's friendly - the perfect location for getting away from it all. Lovely coastal and woodland walks, pretty harbours, caves, beaches and stunning scenery are among the chief attractions. There's also a good range of activities for all ages close to hand. The Dark Sky National Park, Galloway Forest Park and Wigtown National Book Town with its annual book festival at the end of September are only a few miles away. The whole area is steeped in history too, with ancient Christian and pagan burial sites as well as standing stones and areas of significant archeological interest all waiting to be explored.
