Ô Trois Oliviers is a comfortable house that was once the haybarn of the neighbouring farm. It was substantially renovated to a high standard some years ago and the current owners (Graeme and Alison) are continuing to add to its charm. The garden boasts three olive trees that were planted by the original owners, Michel and Jocelyne, and we have named each of the rooms after a well-known French variety of olive. Graeme and Alison travelled extensively for work over many years and their experience of hotels and guest houses informed the refurbishment of the three rooms. All are all en-suite and are well-furnished with plenty of charging points for the large number of electrical items that we all carry around these days. The bedside lights even incorporate a USB point for easy phone-charging! They are well-appointed and offer space to work and relax in comfort, and all enjoy views over the pretty gardens. The house stands on the ancient route of the Kings of England at the heart of the Thouet valley, rich in Gallo-Roman history. It offers easy access to the nearby mediaeval towns of St Loup-sur-Thouet, Airvault and Parthenay, all of which offer good restaurants, markets and places of interest. The nearby Lac du Cèbron is a protected ornithological site of special interest and offers indoor and outdoor sporting activities.
