Enchanting Sandhill House was established by 1550, when Queen Elizabeth I was on the throne. The farm cottages were gentrified into the Manor, by the Reverend John Russell in 1790. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, today the carriage drive leads to the imposing Georgian house and its horticultural treasure trove gardens. Inside, the accommodation is welcoming and befits the stature of the house. The beautifully appointed king sized, deluxe rooms are all en-suite, with TV/DVD, and generous hospitality tray and guaranteed peace and tranquility. In the Winter months, under-floor heating in the bathroom and electric blankets on the beds ensure the cosiest night's stay. The stunning views over the valley Tamar Valley and onwards to Dartmoor National Park, take you back to an England long ago. Keen eyes can also see ruins of our industrial mining heritage, much of which was created by the mine owner, John Williams, who lived here in the 1800s. This is a home you are invited to share, so if you feel our distinctive accommodation is just what you are searching for, please telephone or e-mail to book directly.
