Birkelund camping (Geilo, Norway)

Birkelund camping is an excellent and natural point of departure whether you want to climb, mountain bike, go on fishing trips or just want to go for relaxing walks in an unspoiled and breathtaking nature. You can use Birkelund camping as a base for various tours by car, motorbike or bicycle. Many of the guests spend their time fishing in the river (Storåni) where fish are abundant. The best fishing spot is only 500 m from the camping site. Birkelund camping is situated in an ancient cultural landscape telling you about old agricultural traditions and mountain dairy farming. You can still find mountain dairy farming along Fv.50 with large flock of goat, and farms where you can buy the local brown cheese made of goat milk and taste the different local traditional dishes made at the mountain dairy farm. You can also enjoy winter sports not far from Birkelund camping. You can experience all this and much more if you stay at Birkelund camping. Dogs, provided that they are on a lead, are welcome on Birkelund camping. Birkelund camping is open throughout the year.
