Casa rural Molino Le Gualchiere (Terranuova Bracciolini, Italy)

Situated in the beautiful Tuscan country side, the Molino le Gualchiere is an old mill on the slopes of the Pratomagno mountain just below the medieval village of Loro Ciuffenna, facing the Chianti hills. The farm borders on the Ciuffenna River and produces wine, olive oil, fruit and vegetables. The buildings have been restored traditionally, creating five attractive apartments in and around the main house. The Mill is considered of historical relevance by the local authorities, since its oldest part dates back to the 14th century. Apartments (1 to 3 bedrooms) can be rented separately: total maximum occupancy is 23 persons. Molino is a non-profit activity: three years ago the owners joined forces with a local association which cares for partially disabled young people, mainly affected by Down's Syndrome, in a venture which will enable these young people to help in the daily work of the Molino. This will give them the opportunity to experience the the rural activities of a small estate. Activities will be jointly planned and supervised, and all apartment income will go to this association.
