Location: North – Easte Poland, Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodoship / Mazuria The settlement Lisa Mlyn is located between two lakes: Wysokie and Niskie Brodno (Upper and Lower Brodno), and borders Brodnica Landscape Park. The nearest village is Kruszyny Szlacheckie (2km). The nearest towns are: Brodnica (by forest road: 6km, by asphalt road 12km), Torun (60 km), Iława (40km), Grudziądz (60 km). From Warsaw it takes approx. 2.5 -3 hours by car. It is surrounded by woods. Currently there are two families living there, both are registered for agro-tourism. All available places for rent are within 10 – 40 m from the lake side and have a view on to the lake. Wysokie Brodno lake is rich in fish and sufficiently big (91 ha) to sail in a small yacht. There are stud farms nearby (an hour horse riding approx. PLN 25). There are several, clearly marked walks for ramblers. The place is particularly suitable for those who like peaceful, natural, unspoiled environment, swimming, sailing, boating, walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, mushroom picking, hunting and organic food. There is a “universal” food store in the village and a number of well supplied shops in Brodnica – all selling organic food. Fresh eggs, milk, etc can be bought form local farmers. Families with children and house pets are welcome. Brodnica located at the river Drweca (the cleanest river in Poland) is a beautiful, medieval town (700 years old) with ruins of the old Teutonic Knights castle, gothic cathedral and a small but original old town. It is worth to visit Torun (60 km away), a larger medieval town, not destroyed during the war; birth place of Nicolaus Copernicus, 2nd oldest university in Poland, leaning tower, several gothic churches and famous gothic town hall; on UNESCO list. Also Grudziadz, Chelmno, Golub Dobrzyn, Radzyn Chelminski due to attractive Teutonic Knights castles.
