Hotel Pelley Inn

Pros: We loved everything about this property. The owners thought of every comfort. You could tell they put alot of hard work and thought into this vacation home. They welcomed us with a warm greeting and were quick to respond when we needed something. We highly recommend. Cons: We have nothing negative to say about this place. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

Exceptional

Pros: The location, amenities, and host were all exceptional. Cons: No answer. Everything was fabulous.

Springdale Retreat

Pros: I can not say enough good things about this property. Spectacular location and view. Everything you could ever imagine the owners provided....Even down to pieces of icebergs in the freezer. Peggy and Elwin are fantastic hosts. Cons: The only downside is this positive review because now I might jeopardize it not being available in the future.

Best place ever

Pros: Very clean place with modern equipment, decorated with taste. Hosts were very welcoming. The house is, as the pictures show, right on the water. Superb view and sound of the water!! Cons: -

Beautiful house by the water!

Pros: Everything was exceptional. The property was very clean, beds were comfortable, shower had good pressure, and the kitchen was exceptionally stocked -- there was even an air fryer which we didn't use as we were staying only one night. Elwin the host was onsite and very friendly, and he even set up the firepit for us. The views from the house were amazing -- 270 degrees of water views. It is one of the most well stocked accommodations we have ever stayed at and we have travelled widely. Everything you needed was there -- like staying at one own's home. Elwin left us a bottle of wine which he made himself (quite lovely to drink), a lovely dessert in the fridge, eggs and bread as well! Also there were other snacks, nuts, chocolates and other treats -- just a lovely welcome. There is a binder with lots of information as well. There was even a small iceberg in the bay in the distance! :) We would love to stay longer if we ever pass by this way again in future. Cons: Nothing -- everything was perfect!

Perfect in every way

Pros: It is hard to describe just how wonderful Ocean Breeze is. The chalet itself is perfect. The beds, sofas, chairs are all really comfortable and inviting. The kitchen is amazing with every appliance and cooking implement you could possibly want. The views from the windows are beautiful -- you see water from every window. The decor inside the chalet is so lovely. The whole place makes you feel like you can really relax and be at home. And the hosts, Elwin and Peggy, are so friendly and thoughtful; they took us out on their boat for a picnic on an island -- one of the high points of our time in Newfoundland! Cons: -

Best place to stay in all of Newfoundland

Pros: What did I like? Everything. This charming two-bedroom cottage is perched on the edge of the ocean in Halls Bay, close enough to Iceberg Alley (the iceberg corridor) that occasionally a large ghostly shape comes to visit. Hosts, Peggy and Elwin, live close by and are ready to resolve any challenges or answer questions. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and utensils, plus a few treats for humans and pre-approved pooches. The cottage is beautifully furnished, comfortable, and a delight to experience. A true delight in every way!

Pros: Beautiful property right on the water. Loved watching an iceberg float by right outside the window Icebergs, seals, bald eagles could be seen right outside. Cons: I wouldn’t say we didn’t like this as we knew it only had one bathroom and we were two couples but it worked out just fine, and the location and the property it’s self out weighed this.

Definitely a place we would stay at again and the owners were delightful.

Awesome

Pros: This place is amazing and we are planning to book another trip! The location is right on the water, you can hear the waves as you have some drinks around the fire pit. The chalet is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and is well appointed with every thing you need and more. It has the best stocked kitchen of any vacation rental we stayed in which made it super easy to cook our meals, as we didn't want to leave the chalet. Springdale is a lovely little town and it is a short trip to Kings Point which is very nice as well. What makes this place truly special is the hosts Elwin and Peggy, they are very friendly people and made us feel truly welcome. They have thought of every little detail to ensure their guests have a wonderful stay. Cons: Nothing bad here - Everything was great!

Beautiful chalet right on the ocean with the most amazing hosts

Pros: Wonderful hosts, went above and beyond making us feel welcomed. Chalet was spotless, tastefully decorated and had all the comforts of home and then some! Amazing views!!!!! Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.

A Gem

Pros: This is what you came to Newfoundland for! This cute cottage on a small spit surrounded on 3 sides by the sea. The hosts seem to have thought of everything you could possibly need, from an air fryer to kayaks, this was like a better home away from home. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. On top of that, the hosts are delightful and take care of you like nothing else in this world matters. I may sound over the top, but this place was truly superlative and the highlight of our trip. We will be back! Cons: Literally nothing. Not even a minor annoyance.
