About Holiday Acres Resort

Holiday Acres Resort on Lake Thompson has been welcoming guests since 1949 and has been owned and operated by 4 generations of the same family ever since. Located on 1000 acres of woods and water, it is a very special lakeside location, only minutes from the town of Rhinelander, in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Twenty eight, four season guest rooms, 30 cottages with kitchens and 2 vacation homes give visitors varied lodging choices. Holiday Acres welcomes and offers friendly, professional service for weddings, celebrations, group meetings, retreats and reunions as well as traditional couples getaways, friends gatherings and family vacations. The Three Coins Restaurant and Patio Coffee Shop (seasonal) serve great meals in comfortable settings. No need to bring your suits, ties or heels! Lake sports, a large indoor pool, tennis courts, lawn games, riding stable, XC ski, snowmobile and ATV trails offer activities for all ages. Several excellent golf courses are nearby. Of course, many enjoy campfires, the beautiful sunsets and of course, just relaxing!
