Lovely hotel in beautiful setting

Pros: The cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. The bed was comfortable and warm. Food and service in the restaurant were excellent. Cons: Breakfast only served from 0930, not good if you need to catch a ferry. We were given a picnic to take away with us.

Good value for money in a lovely setting.

Exceptional

Pros: A spotlessly clean room with comfortable beds and a good shower. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, the evening meal was taken in a lovely semi-external restaurant room and the breakfast was one of the best we have had in Spain. Cons: -

An excellent country hotel

Superb

Pros: Stopped here in the way to the ferry (Santander 55 minutes, Bilbao 1hr 15 ). Very comfortable hotel with nice restaurant opposite also belonging to the hotel. We had a nice walk around the pretty village. Cons: The meal at the hotel was good but we were very surprised when the starter of a plateful of sliced beef tomato, onion and olive oil (which the waiter told us about but wasn’t on the menu) was charged at 13.75

Nice place to rest

Pros: The location of the hotel was good in regards to the activities we wanted to do in the area. Hiking/Caves, etc. The dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the service was excellent in the restaurant. The bed was comfortable. Cons: Our booking of a triple room apparently didn't make it from the booking to the hotel, even though I could see on the sheet in front of the receptionist said triple room. We then had to pay an additional 19 euros to get an extra bed for the night.

Good

Pros: This was one of my favorite stops on our trip. The hotel decor is a bit dated, but for me, that gave it so much sweet charm. There’s a quiet little area of homes just behind the hotel. You can walk through the village of homes back to a wonderful little hike to a waterfall. It was so quiet and the people are super nice. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and it was delicious!! Cons: -

Full of charm and located in a beautiful area!

Pros: We liked that the hotel it is situated close to the main road and easy to find. Good location to sit outside the hotel and watch motorbikes winding it on up the mountain. Hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly .would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. Cons: Restaurant to open earlier than 9am for breakfast.

A lovely family run hotel (and restaurant next door), where you are made to feel very welcome.

Pros: Great hotel with everything as it should be. Excellent restaurant over the road serving Spanish cuisine at affordable prices. Attentive helpful staff that take pleasure in keeping customers happy. Will stay here again whenever I am transiting through Santander. Cons: I don't have any negatives regarding this hotel, it was a pleasure to stay there.

excellent stop off close to Santander, would also be lovely holiday destination for mountain lovers. scenery stunning!

Pros: It was pretty quiet and a good place to rest. Cons: Overpriced dinner. Not really good food. Staff recommendations weren't as good.
