About La Capellanía

The 3-star boutique hotel La Capellanía is located in the town of San Asensio, in the heart of La Rioja Alta. It opened in 2007 after a complete renovation of the building. It occupies a manor in 1798 of Baroque architecture, highlighting the stone if its façade, the railings of the 18th century, the forging of hollow bricks with wooden beams and the dome which crowns the staircase. The hotel La Capellanía owes its name to Mr. Ventura Mendoza Aguiriano, priest chaplain in the parish of San Asensio, who was ordered it built and lived in it originally. This charming hotel has 8 spacious rooms, living room with fireplace, dining room and an outdoor patio. It also has free wifi in the entire building and elevator. Non-smoking hotel. Smoking is allowed at the patio. Pets are not allowed.
