Mount Everest Game Farm is a 1000 hectare farm 21 km from Harrismith in the Free State province of South-Africa. It's an ideal stopover between Johannesburg (Gauteng) and Durban (Kwa Zulu Natal). The accommodation is comfortable, although not luxurious, and there are spectacular views from all 13 chalets. All chalets are equipped with self-catering facilities, or we can provide meals if guests book them in time. There are several species of game on the farm, like waterbuck, bluewildebeest, blackwildebeest, springbuck, blesbuck, lechwe, zebra, fallow deer, red hartbeest and buffalo. On a game drive, you will be taken into the buffalo camp to feed the buffalo - as close as you will probably ever get to a herd of buffalo. Apart from the game drives, horse-riding, paintball, hiking and fishing can also be done on the farm, as well is hiking and mountain biking. None of our chalets have televisions, but there is a lounge in reception with satellite TV. There is also a pool table an table tennis. There is no workable pool on the farm, but there is dam with a fufi slide (zipline) for a mud-between-the-toes organic experience.
