The Relais Il Mignano is a luxurious medieval palazzo located in the historical center of Nardó. Its name comes from the magnificent balcony (mignano) situated above the principal sculpted portico. The mignano allowed the women who were living in the Palazzo to attend the processions without being seen. In the Middle Ages the families also used to exhibit their beautiful fabrics on the balconies to show their richness and power.
