About Alia Beach Hotel Alia Beach Hotel is named after the goddess Alia, wife of the mythological god of sea Poseidon. When building it mosaics of priceless archaeological value where found from the Roman era which are estimated to be about 2000 years old and are now in display in the Archaeological Museum in Heraklion.
