About Bear and Ragged Staff

The Bear and Ragged Staff is a four hundred and fifty year old restored inn located in the Oxfordshire country side only fifteen minutes outside of the world famous university city. All of the charming rooms have been renovated with modern amenities including Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs, king size beds and en-suite bathrooms. The Bear and Ragged Staff offers space for a variety of events, from conferences to weddings. The outdoor decking area and garden are a great place to relax while children can enjoy the playground. Originally a country pub, the Bear and Ragged Staff now serves highly acclaimed British food inspired by local Oxfordshire produce alongside it’s large selection of wines, spirits and real ales. In Oxford itself guests can spend the day punting on the river, visiting the esteemed Ashmolean museum or exploring the university’s iconic architecture. It is also a short drive to Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill.
