About Hospes Puerta de Alcalá, a Member of Design Hotels

Located on Madrid’s central Plaza de la Independencia, Hospes Puerta de Alcalá is a handsome red-brick building built in 1883. This fine example of architecture from the Bourbon Restoration period was carefully restored and redesigned to include 41 uniquely decorated guestrooms, where fine dark woods offset hues of gold, silver, and white. The former royal estate and historic landmark now sports a minimalist style but retains the past in its moldings, columns, wrought iron, and woodwork. Enjoy Bodyna Spa, with its sauna, hammam, and fitness and relaxation area, as well as a top restaurant serving signature cuisine and great cocktails.
