About Casas Da Moagem

Lying in the village of São Domingos, 18 km from Santiago do Cacém and 15 km from Alvalade Sado- Mimosa are the rural tourism houses Casas da Moagem, created from the recovery of the old grinding factory of José Mateus Vilhena. This plant stopped working in 1982; grinding was recovered with all its machinery giving rise to the Museum of Flour (Museu da Farinha), where you can find the love and the dedication to the past. The old barn and dwelling house were recovered and reformed for rural tourism. A friendly place to spend a vacation or a weekend and enjoy the good weather of the Alentejo and the pleasant company of the owners. The rural houses of Casas da Moagem have: 5 suites with air conditioning, tv and wifi; 4 rooms with independent access (every two have a common toilet also with air conditioning, TV and wifi); garden and pool with salt treatment; terrace where you can enjoy your breakfast on sunny days; living room; dining room; multipurpose room; meals on request, provided by regional restaurants.
