Seafront Gardens (Clacton-on-Sea, United Kingdom)
The Seafront Gardens in Clacton-on-Sea enjoy, as the name suggests, has a location directly at the seafront of the resort, overlooking the West Beach and Victorian pier. The Seafront Gardens are a set of 4 linked formal gardens, a sunken rose and flower garden, a memorial garden and a flower garden, dating back to the 1920’s. The Memorial and Sunken Flower Gardens still look almost the same as they did back when the gardens were established. The Seafront Gardens have been holding the Green Flag Award for many years and the Memorial Garden, which honours the soldier who have who died in the First and Second World Wars, holds the title of “Best Local Authority Floral Display” in the Anglia in Bloom competition. The Memorial Garden alone is home to around 34,000 plants each year and hosts several events and memorial services throughout the year.
