    Illawarra Museum (Wollongong, Australia)

The Illawarra Museum is located close to the Courthouse, on Market Square. It was founded by the Illawarra Society Inc. which was founded by volunteers. Several objects were collected in the region by the Society, and the Museum opened its doors on December 2, 1966. At first the museum used only the ground floor. In 1969 the whole building had to be used. The ground floor has a craft room, and two rooms known as the East Room and West Room, these dedicated to exhibitions. The patio has a colonial kitchen, a Stockman dry cleaning hut and a blacksmith shop. The building includes a Classroom and Air Raid Shelter.
